Outcome focused conflict resolution services

A strategic and practical approach to help you move forward.

Our approach

Our process is designed to empower you to address your challenges by facilitating discussion, exploring the conflict in depth from other perspectives, and seeking to reach a personalised solution that has considered various outcomes and consequences.

We aim to help you reach the best resolution that suits everyone involved, securing results that truly align with your values, needs and circumstances and reaching a mutually beneficial outcome that not only preserves, but strengthens your important relationships.

In our opinion, it is impossible for anyone to distinguish how they approach mediation. Everyone says their approach encompasses empathy, impartiality, confidentiality and respect. In mediation, this is a given.

With Two Minds Mediation, you will experience us. That is our point of difference.

The Two Minds Mediation Difference

We understand conflict

We’ve led teams through conflict, and we’ve been unhappy employees. We’ve run companies and sat on boards. We’ve even fought with our neighbours. We’ve been in your shoes.
Two Minds Mediation

We are experienced

We have a combined 40+ years corporate and commercial experience spanning diverse industries and sectors, and managing disputes across a variety of situations, bringing a seasoned proficiency to the mediation room.

We are generalists

We excel in versatility and embrace a wide spectrum of fields and practise in a broad range of areas. We are not siloed.

We are relatable

We aren’t retired professionals who have devoted our entire careers to one industry. We are current, vibrant, approachable and personable. We also love dogs.

Paul Slezak

It is the combination of his early career as a leader in global professional services firms before transitioning that success to his own company that underpins the unique perspective Paul brings to mediation.

Acting as an impartial voice, he is experienced in providing a psychologically safe space for individuals to express their concerns, frustrations, and perspectives empowering them by giving them an active role in the resolution process.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have worked with Paul and have known him professionally now for over 10 years. I have great respect for his integrity, his persistent questioning, and his outstanding facilitation strategies. His direct, efficient, and energetic communication style is second to none. In one of his former roles as a people leader, I personally witnessed Paul play the role of mediator as he helped several employees navigate their way through workplace challenges. I have always admired his commitment to making everyone feel comfortable, respected, and heard. The positive relationships Paul has maintained with the people he has worked with is a real testament to him and the high level of service he offers.

Having worked with Alan and Paul, I found they both exhibit a strong combination of professionalism, honesty and genuineness. The negotiation I worked with them on involved managing relationships at the board, executive and transactional level, and they managed them well. They are commercially minded, knowledgeable and experienced, and they have an ability to listen to and understand challenges, and identify opportunities.

What you can expect at your first inquiry

We will evaluate the details of your issue and ensure transparency and clarity by outlining the service we provide. We will do this by addressing the following:

  1. Understanding the nature of your conflict: we will get a detailed overview of your situation by listening to the nature of the issues, parties involved, and their respective viewpoints, allowing us to understand the context and complexities of the dispute.
  2. Identifying stakeholders and dynamics: this is to learn about the relationships between the parties involved and any power dynamics that may be at play. We need to understand the level of communication between the parties and whether any underlying tensions or misunderstandings exist.
  3. Outlining our role and expectations: this covers our role as a mediator, your expectations and desired end result, our process, and explain potential outcomes. This discussion will help us gauge whether our involvement aligns with your expectations and our obligations.
By addressing these points, we can assess whether mediation is the best process to resolve your conflict, outline next steps where appropriate, and begin to create a vision for your future.
